RENEWABLE REMOTE POWER GENERATION PROGRAM AND SOLAR CREDITS
The national Renewable Energy Target (RET) legislation contains a clause that allows small generation units to generate 5 times the RECs for the first 1.5kW (the Solar Credits mechanism). Should the RET legislation be passed in its current form then the solar credits mechanism is expected to be back dated to the date of closing the Solar Homes and Communities program.
The Sustainable Energy Development Office (SEDO) has advised us that recipients of the Renewable Remote Power Generation Program (RRPGP) grants will not be eligible for the Solar Credits mechanism.
