Base Transceiver Station (BTS) facilitates wireless communication between user equipment (such mobile phones (handsets), WLL phones, computers with wireless internet connectivity, WiFi and WiMAX gadgets etc.) as and the network ( can be based on any of the of the wireless communication technologies like GSM, CDMA, WLL, WAN, WiFi, WiMAX etc.) .BTS is also referred to as RBS (Radio Base Station), Node B (in 3G Networks) or simply BS (Base Station). The problem for many BTS sites is that there is no power infrastructure available. Until now, the only solution has been to install and run diesel generator sets, with all the inherent problems associated with fuel cost, fuel delivery, maintenance, servicing and reliability demanded of these installations.
