Solar credits was introduced on the 9th of June 2009. The Solar Credits scheme is a method under the Renewable Energy Target (RET) scheme that will increase the support to households, businesses and community groups when a small-scale solar PV is installed.
Solar credits are given in the form of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECS), which will be multiplied by 5 to increase the amount of RECs received. RECs only apply for the first 1.5kW of your installed system.
